Duration:  3 weeks 
Dates:  Oct. 23 - Nov 10, 2017

Standards:
AVTFII-6:
Demonstrate correct operations for studio and field lighting.

Essential Questions:
How can lighting change the tone of a scene?
​What lighting techniques can we use to illuminate a scene?

ACTIVITIES:
​

Activity 1: Textbook and Workbook 
1:Review the Chapter 15 Powerpoint HERE on Lighting. 

2: Complete the Chapter 15 workbook activities on pages 77 - 83 ONLY HERE.  Keep your answers in a Google Doc and then paste the link onto your Unit 5 Weebly Page.  Make sure you make the document PUBLIC, so that it can be viewed and graded.
3: Take the Chapter 15 Quiz HERE after you have submitted your Workbook Activities.

Activity 2: Tutorial Videos

Activity 3: Hands on Work
1: View the scene from No Country for Old Men HERE.
2: Work with your assigned group to complete your scene re-creation assignment found HERE. Remember to take pictures of your set each day for continuity.
3. I have attached a video below that might help when shooting with a DSLR in Low Light settings.


Step 4: Work with your assigned small groups to complete the edit.

Activity 4: Lighting Project
1: You will use the existing script found HERE for a low light/nighttime shoot that will show your mastery of lighting.
2: HERE is the rubric that you will be assessed on.
3. After completing the shoot, you will create a folder on your assigned desktop Titled "LightingProject(GroupLetter)"
4.  Import all footage from your SD card. 
5.  Label all footage.  
6.  Open a new Adobe Premiere Pro project.  Title it "LightingProject(GroupLetter)".  
7.  Import your footage into the project.  
8.  Edit the project.  
9.  Export the project at H.264.
